The 2011 Ford Taurus is a large five-passenger Ford sedan available in the SE, SEL, and the upscale Limited trims. The SHO performance edition is also available.

Power and performance

The Taurus derives power from a standard 3.5-liter V6 engine rated at 263 hp and 249 pound-feet of torque. A six-speed automatic transmission is standard. The transmission features manual shift control and downshift rev-matching capability on all trims except the SE. Front-wheel drive is standard on every Taurus trim and all-wheel drive is available on SEL and Limited trim levels. The Taurus SHO is powered by a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 good for 365 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed automatic with shift paddles is standard. Every SHO is all-wheel drive.
