The new 2023 Ford Escape has two gas engines and two hybrid options. The base gas engine offers 181 horsepower, while the hybrid engine delivers 250 horsepower. The plug-in powertrains provide the same horsepower at 210.
The 2023 edition of the Escape brings an upgrade from the old Sync 3 system to the new Sync 4 version. It has more powerful and responsive menus and a larger screen, making it more appealing.
The new Ford Escape also has a welcome array of automated safety features. The specific lineup depends on the trim you select, but the standard list includes blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, and automatic emergency braking.
