Type of Synthetic Oils

There are two basic types of synthetic engine oils:

• Full-Synthetic: With full synthetic, you pay a slight premium but you get the best lubrication for the engine of your Ford. You also get excellent resistance to cold and hot temperatures and oxidation which results in the shortened lifespan of the engine oil. The uniformity of full-synthetic engine oil means all the parts of the engine remain properly lubricated.
• Semi-Synthetic: For a cheaper version of synthetic oil, you can opt to get a semi-synthetic engine oil change service. This type of service is also known as synthetic-blend oil change service as the oil is made from a blend of conventional and synthetic base oils.

Synthetic vs. Regular Oil Change

Some older engines in Ford vehicles might be doing better with conventional oil, which is the least refined type of engine oil. Most new Ford models are going to perform better with synthetic oil, which offers better flow, uniformity, and longevity.
